Hanwell Methodist Church
Composed and designed by Ray Garnett
Hanwell Methodist Church supports a number of organisations that are directly linked to the Church Family. The Rainbows is one such group.
The Rainbows is made up of the youngest members of the Guiding movement aged between 5 and 7 years. It is usually also involved in the Family and Church Parade services held on the first Sunday of each month.
At their Monday meetings, members can partake in the following types of activities.
play games,
partake in craft activities,
undertake simple cooking,
learn about other countries,
learn about people's cultures and religions,
learn about Guiding in preparation for when
they progress to a more senior movement.
The Rainbows
If you want to know more then contact one of our Church Stewards who will put you in touch with the relevant Leader or turn up to one of their meetings on a Monday evening. Remember that the group may only meet in school term times.
Aims and Promises
Rainbows aim to be friends to all and to care for the environment and others. After five weeks of initiation, to become a formal member of the pack, a Rainbow has to make a promise - I will do my best to love my God and to be kind and helpful.
After making their promise they receive their enrolment badge.
Meeting Times
The Rainbows normally meet on a Monday evening at 5:00pm in the Main Hall of the Church.
